Kleur Geven
My memory is a warehouse filled with images. Over time these images fade or become distorted. I reconstruct my memory by transforming the image into planes of form. These planes shift and overlap, as if they are in motion. I focus the light on what you know, what you see. This also creates darkness; what happens there remains uncertain.What is illuminated, you still know, what lies in shadow is forgotten.
In the end, the facts no longer matter.
Mijn geheugen is een pakhuis vol beelden.Door de tijd raken die beelden verbleekt,
of vervormd.Ik maak een reconstructie van mijn herinnering, door het beeld kleur te geven en tot vlakken om te vormen. Die vlakken schuiven over elkaar, alsof ze in beweging zijn. Het licht laat ik vallen op wat je weet, wat je ziet. Dat schept ook donkere delen, en wat daar gebeurt weet je niet precies. Wat verlicht is herinner je je nog, wat in de schaduw staat is vergeten.
Uiteindelijk doen de feiten er niet meer toe.
